Dij Davies | Elected 2009 & 2010
Hello, my name is Dij Davies and I am a third year Arts student. I wish to be re-elected as LGBT Officer because I am still truly passionate about LGBT issues and I feel there is more work I can do. In my tenure as Officer so far, I have represented students on the issue of the MSM Blood Ban, being featured in The Herald and Attitude Magazine. I have also worked closely with the QMU and the GUU to make them more LGBT friendly. I promise to continue to do my best to represent LGBT Students in all matters (academic or pastoral) to ensure their voices are heard. I also want to raise awareness of LGBT issues through extending LGBT History Month and encouraging a culture where students don’t feel intimidated about expressing their gender identity or sexual orientation on and around campus.
