I completed my Access course in May 2012 and am now a full time first year studying towards a Classics/Archaeology MA. Before becoming a student I worked in the Civil Service for approximately ten years and for most of that was an active and very busy Trade Union Rep and member of PCS. Issues raised by members regarding all forms of Equality made up a large part of my workload and are without doubt of great importance to many people.
Politically I am a Socialist and proud of it, Equality is at the heart of Socialist politics.
If I am elected to the position of Age Equality Officer I will bring all my experience and energy to bear to ensure that Equality is given the voice and priority that it deserves and that any issues that are brought to my attention are dealt with promptly and with care
