Hi, I’m Clopin Meehan, I’m a 3rd year Film & TV Studies/Philosophy student, and I’m standing to be your school representative. If elected, I will strive to make our school more open, accessible and democratic, by:
Campaigning against fees and cuts
I will use my voice in the SRC to fight against rises in tuition fees, the privatisation of student services, and unnecessary cuts to valued courses and staff.
Ending physical hand-ins
Some subjects already take in coursework 100% electronically, and it’s been well received as it cuts down traffic in the library and costs students, and the environment, less. I’ll push for all subjects to make this move.
Increasing access to study materials
I’ll push for more lecture notes to be posted online, more lectures to be recorded, and high-use library books to be digitised.
