£23,811- £26,004 p/a (Grade 5 pts 22 to 25)
The postholder will be expected to formulate and implement a strategy for Postgraduate engagement and capacity building across both social and learning aspects of University life. This strategy is will incorporate the development a range of events, activities, and services and ensure the newly developed Social/Seminar Space becomes integral to a high quality postgraduate experience at Glasgow. The postholder is expected to undertake research in the formulation of the strategy, and be able to review and improve upon it with reference to projected outcomes and trends in usage of the space.
As well as outreach ‘student engagement’ activity targeted at the University’s expanding postgraduate community, the postholder will have responsibility for managing the Social Space (in conjunction with the University’s Hospitality Services) on a day-to day basis.
We are looking for a dynamic, inspirational individual who is an excellent communicator and strong networker. Excellent organisational and administrative skills are essential, as is the capacity to support stakeholders in working to meet shared objectives. In addition, the post-holder will have an understanding of and empathy with the principles and processes of student engagement in shaping the student experience.
Full Time Position – 34 hours per week. Flexi system in operation. Some evening work will be necessary.
