Conversational English
This project gives volunteers the opportunity to help international students improve their spoken English skills.
By meeting 1-on-1 for an hour or so, once a week, and engaging in conversation, you can make a big difference in improving fluency and confidence. You do not have to be a native of Glasgow or even Scotland to get involved – anybody who can speak fluent English is wanted!
The aim is not to teach anyone how to speak English, but by engaging in conversation you can help other students practice, and that can be really important. You might even get the chance to learn a little yourself!
This program will be recognised and recorded on your University HEAR (Higher Education Achievement Report) as ‘Conversational English Tutor’
